Sarah is currently the Senior and Advanced Contemporary Teacher at the Adelaide Hills Performing Arts Centre. She has been involved with the school for over 17 years after beginning her dance training at the age of four, and started her teacher training as a teenager at AHPAC.
Sarah has recently graduated from Adelaide College of the Arts in 2016 after completing her Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) Degree. She has also acquired her Advanced Dance Diploma (Elite Performance), Dance Diploma(Elite Performance) and her Certificate IV in Dance.
Her studies have given her the opportunity to work with numerous industry professionals such as Sally Collard-Gentle, Peter Sheedy, and Lisa Heaven, while also working alongside Larissa McGowan, Leigh Warren, Israel Aloni, Lee Brummer, Lewis Major and Gavin Webber in productions created by them.
Sarah's professional credits include performing in the State Opera of South Australia's 'Faust', being part of the Adelaide 36ers dance/cheer team and also performing in Leigh Warren's ' Mayakofsky' at the Australian Dance Awards 2015. She has performed in the Adelaide Fringe Parade in 2016 and 2017. Sarah was the primary choreographer for the music artist ‘Ripley’, creating the dance in his music video ‘Harpers Song’ – You can watch it on Youtube.
Sarah was one of the top finalist in the Moulin Rouge Auditions in Adelaide last year. She has presented own original dance work <i>and</i> performed in ‘Rip Drag and Ruminate’ in the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2016. She has also performed at the Adelaide Strikers NYE cricket game with Ding Productions. She is experienced in Aerial Silks dancing.
At the beginning of 2017, Sarah had to opportunity to dance at Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park. Her love for musical theatre prompted Sarah to perform in “Cats” with the Metropolitan Musical Theatre Company of SA. Along with being involved with Pelican Production’s Musical Theatre Camp for six years.
In 2016 Sarah participated in numerous dance secondments. This includes LINK Dance Company, Patrick Studios Australia, Australian Dance Theatre and Shaun Parker and Company.
Sarah has also participated in creative dance workshops with the Victorian State Ballet, ilDance, Pina Bausch Dance Company, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet Company, Ballet Revolućion, New Zealand Dance Company, Sydney Dance Company and EkosDance Company.
